Kew wellbeing activities-Community Tai Chi and Mindfulness in Nature

Free community wellbeing activities at Kew Gardens

Spaces are still available for carers to participate in the upcoming community wellbeing activities at Kew Gardens. Participation is free and includes entrance into the Gardens.

As part of the Discovery and Access Programme these activities are designed for people who may face barriers to accessing Kew Gardens. Kew also offers a range of paid wellbeing activities throughout the year: What’s on | Kew

Community Tai Chi

Find your flow within the Gardens. This six-week course will be led by Aileen from Dao Lu Tai Chi and is designed to be accessible to complete beginners. Participants will learn the basics of Tai Chi for physical and mental health in a supported and welcoming setting.

Mindfulness in Nature

During these guided workshops, participants will be invited to explore the Gardens through a series of mindfulness and wellbeing exercises. As a participant, you will use your senses to explore and deepen your connection to nature. The workshops will be led by Max, an experienced facilitator with a background in psychology. Please note that due to popularity, participants will only be able to attend one of the two workshops. Both workshops will cover the same exercises and explore similar areas of the Gardens.
